We are delighted to welcome artist Hannes Brunner to Dublin. Hannes will give a public talk about his work followed by a private Peer Critique session for a small group of 6 artists.
This Peer Critique session is relevant to artists working in sculpture and installation. Six artists will make short presentations on their practices and on future projects they would like to develop.
After each presentation, Hannes will facilitate a constructive and supportive discussion amongst the group. This peer discussion might focus on issues such as the direction of each participants work; materials employed and the intention of the works. Hannes is interested in: exploring the underlying concepts within each participants work; looking at how the backbone of these concepts are articulated through the use of diverse materials and at how works intervene in public space, engaging with the public in a form of conversation.
It is intended the session will create dialogue and openness between artistic peers and foster networking and continued peer support amongst participants.
